Deana Thacker’s second-grade class recently displayed their dinosaur masterpieces after their study of prehistoric times and the giant creatures that roamed the Earth. Students were instructed to use whatever supplies they had at home to create the dinosaur of their choosing. They also wrote an informational report using transition words to share various facts learned from their research. This performance task was a science project, but it was also a great way to enrich their reading unit on dinosaurs.
