· Between 6:25 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Post Oak Road in Ringgold resulting in the theft of $550 worth of merchandise from the home.

The victim told police he arrived home to find that someone had pried open the back door and entered his home.

He also stated that a laundry basket was missing from the home, which he believes was used to carry off the stolen items from the home.

Three jewelry boxes containing multiple articles of jewelry were reported during the theft, as well as five collectable knives.

The case was turned over to detective Timothy Busby.

· Between 9:10 a.m. and 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Alexander Bridge Road in Ringgold resulting in the theft of nearly $16,000 worth of jewelry from the home.

The victim told police she left her home for the day and returned home to find that the back door of her residence had been pried open.

Three necklaces, three rings, and a watch were among the items reported stolen during the incident.

The residence was secured with photos taken, and then the case was turned over to detective Timothy Busby.
