The Gordon Lee Trojan junior varsity football team completed an undefeated season with a convincing 35-8 victory over the Walker Wolverines last week.

Walker, in its first year of fielding a football program, played its varsity against the Trojan JV. However, it was the youthful Trojans that put on a show.

Zach Burns ran the ball 27 times for 253 yards and two touchdowns to lead Gordon Lee to the win. Robbie Robertson, Lance Henson and Tyler Waymire also scored TDs in the win while Sandy Tommey added a safety.

The Trojans ran up 345 rushing yards. Henson added 26 yards on four carries while Dwight Jones had 25 yards on six carries. Robertson finished 6-of-11 through the air for 117 yards.

The Trojan defense was stingy, allowing the Wolverines just 78 yards on the ground and only 59 in the air. Jones and Justin Cantrell had six tackles each while Tommy Heath added five
