A Rossville woman accumulated multiple charges after she was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and multiple prescription drugs.

According to the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department:

Myra Geneva Langford, 51, of American Boulevard in Rossville was arrested Sunday, Aug. 26, on charges of DUI-multiple substances, open container, no insurance, suspended registration, and driving while license suspended. She has been released on bond from the Catoosa County jail.

Langford was initially pulled over during a routine traffic stop along Cloud Springs Road after an officer discov-ered that her car had an expired tag, reports show.

“I stopped the offender for an expired registration, and then the Georgia Criminal Information Center (GCIC) in-dicated that the registration was suspended with no insurance,” Lt. Gary McConathy said. “I asked for her license, and she stated they were suspended. I then inquired if she had been drinking, to which she originally said no, but after failing her field tests, she stated that she had a drinking problem.”

A can of Natural Ice beer was found open in the console of the car, as well as a Powerade bottle full of vodka in her purse, reports show.

“There was prescription Adderall and Zoloft in the offender’s purse as well,” McConathy said.
