According to Ringgold police reports, officers arrived to find the three males in an Acura sport utility vehicle parked behind BJB Electric at 6375 Alabama Highway.

After being caught by Ringgold officer Zack Henderson and Ringgold police chief Dan Bilbrey, the suspect stated that he was trying to get to Atlanta with some friends and that their car ran out of gas.
A check of the vehicle’s registration revealed that it had been reported stolen out of Ann Arbor Michigan on Tuesday, July 12.
Jacob Tyler Burse, 18, Cedric Ange Joel Gbah, 18, and Juante Derazil Williams, 19, all Michigan residents, were arrested and charged with theft by receiving stolen property and theft by bringing stolen property in the state.
After interviews were conducted, it was learned that the three men knew each other from a homeless shelter in Ann Arbor, Mich., found a vehicle with the keys left in it, and decided to take the vehicle to visit a family member in Duluth, Ga.
All three men were transported to Catoosa County jail without incident.
