Ginger Lasha Boyd and Jeremy Todd Adam Overby wed Saturday, Oct. 15, at Joe Stock Memorial Park in historic LaFayette. The officiating minister was Wesley Dalton.

The parents of the bride are Misty Boyd of LaFayette and Kevin Body of Menlo, and the parents of the groom are Donna and Tony Stoker and the late Tracy Overby.

Ceremony music included the Wedding March, “God Gave Me You,” “I Love You This Big,” “Keeper of the Stars” and “From this Moment.”

The maid of honor was Shelby Phipps of Varnell. The bride’s attendants were Catherine Tuggle of Trion and Hailey Voiles and Kailey Evans both of Summerville. Shelby was escorted by the couple’s son, Layton Overby. Layton was dressed in a black traditional tuxedo. The bridesmaids wore black satin short dresses, above the knee and carried long stem white lilies with flowing black ribbon. The flower girls were Sadie Saine and Riley Henderson.

The best man was Tony Stoker of LaFayette. The groomsmen were Daniel Overby of LaFayette, Michael (Bubba) House of Kingston and Phillip Jennings of Lyerly. The groomsmen wore black traditional tuxedoes with white lily corsages. The ringbearer was Connor Brayden Jenning of Lyerly. Connor pulled baby Jackson Lee Overby in a decorated wagon. Jackson is the couple’s son and he wore a white satin suit with matching cap. The wagon was decorated with black satin and trimmed in black and white lace bows. The ushers were Matthew Cecil Overby and Jesse Rape, both of LaFayette.

The bride wore a strapless ivory floor-length gown with flowing flowers and beads trimmed with a black sash streaming down the back to the floor. The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies and greenery with black streamers.

The mother of the bride wore a smoky gray sparkling strapless satin floor-length gown.

The mother of the groom wore a knee length satin dress, white at the top with black skirt on the bottom.

The reception was held at the Community Room of the Bank of LaFayette. The tables were covered with white cloth with silk overlay, glass centerpieces with bride and groom inside with white roses. The couple’s table was decorated with tall glass vases containing lilies, roses and greenery, personalized glasses, and covered with printed white and black cloth.

The bride’s cake was a four-layer, black and white print trimmed with orange ribbon, white lilies and diamond-trimmed initial “O,” and topped with dancing bride and groom.

The groom’s cake was a Tennessee Smokey the dog cake. Kathy Ferrell made both cakes.

The servers were Kim Howell and Alice Stoker. The keeper of the bride’s book was Allison Smith of LaFayette.

After dinner, D.J. John Whitten provided music for the couple’s first dance and while guests danced.

The couple will make their home in LaFayette.
