The Gordon Lee Middle School wrestling team, coached by Bret Bradford, has opened the 2010-11 season undefeated in dual meets.

The Trojans opened the season on Oct. 28 with a 60-22 home win over Rossville on Oct. 28. Picking up wins for the Trojans were Noah Peterson, Austin Sturdivant, Jonathan Ragsdale, Dylan Skipper, Grayson Dunn, Dalton Owens, Dallas Goodlet, Morgan Lathem, and Zach Murdock.

Gordon Lee also defeated Lakeview that same evening, 58-21, as Peterson, Sturdivant, Ragsdale, Skipper, Dunn, Owens, Goodlet, Lathem, Logan Hill, and Braxton Salmon all picked up wins.

Then on Nov. 4 in Chickamauga, the Trojans wrestled a pair of NGAC rivals, defeating Trion and LaFayette.

Gordon Lee took down the Bulldogs, 56-20, getting wins from Peterson, Sturdivant, Ragsdale, Skipper, Dunn, Owens, Goodlet, Lathem, Drew Cobb, and Blake Bailey.

They capped the night with a 45-31 over the Ramblers behind wins from Peterson, Murdock, Ragsdale, Skipper, Dunn, Owens, Goodlet, Lathem, and Kaleb Butcher.

Gordon Lee defeated both Dade County and Notre Dame in a home tri-match on Nov. 5.

Sturdivant, Butcher, Murdock, Ragsdale, Cobb, Skipper, Dunn, Owens, Goodlet, Lathem, and Sydney Rinehart all won to lift the Trojans to a 58-21 victory over the Wolverines.

Then, Gordon Lee beat the Irish by a count of 58-18 with wins coming from Peterson, Sturdivant, Murdock, Butcher, Ragsdale, Skipper, Rinehart, Goodlet, Lathem, and Blake Bailey.

Then on Nov. 9, Gordon Lee scored a dominant win over visiting Chattanooga Christian as individual victories were picked up by Peterson, Sturdivant, Murdock, Lathem, Ragsdale, Cobb, Butcher, Bailey, Nick Wilson, Justin Hickman, Jax Johnson, Justin McCarty, and Austin Traffensteadt.

The Trojans, led by a returning NGAC champion and four undefeated wrestlers on the year, will face a very demanding schedule this season with upcoming duals against Tennessee powerhouses Cleveland, Lake Forrest, Baylor, and McCallie, as well as some Georgia’s premiere programs in Collins Hill, Jefferson, Pope, Gilmer, West Forsyth, Parkview, and NGAC rival Heritage.
