Each year, sponsors of the Georgia Educational Technology Conference scour the state for teachers and students utilizing instructional technology in the most unique and purposeful ways. This year Laura Smalley’s techno dynamos at Naomi Elementary School were selected as one of the state’s best examples to present to teachers and administrators at the Georgia Educational Technology Conference.

Following their experience at the Atlanta conference where they demonstrated the use of the flip camera for classroom instruction, the group was honored by the Walker County Board of Education for their creativity and innovation.
