LaFayette Public Safety is getting ready to gear up for this year’s Shop With A Cop/Fireman program. This program helps local children have a cheerful Christmas. With every $200 raised, a LaFayette-area child can be sponsored.

This year’s program is looking to sponsor 25 Pre-K to fifth-grade students from the LaFayette area. Your generous donation will give these children a day at Walmart seeing Santa Claus, having a party and shopping with a police officer, firefighter or volunteer. To see the smiles and expressions on the children’s faces is what makes this a wonderful event.

Supporters of the program are welcome to volunteer and see the smiles and joy firsthand.

Contributions be made in several ways:

Checks made out to “Shop With A Cop/Fireman” can be dropped off at or mailed to LaFayette Public Safety, 208 N. Main Street, LaFayette.

Checks or cash can be deposited at the Bank of LaFayette to the “Shop With A Cop/Fireman” account

Contact LaFayette school resource officer Cpl. Billy Mullis at billymullis@walkerschools.org or 706-639-3400 to have your contribution picked up.
