Man charged with armed robberies in Walker, Catoosa counties

A 27-year-old Flintstone man, Michael Chad Creel, has been charged with two Walker County armed robberies and one Catoosa County armed robbery.

According to Walker County sheriff Steve Wilson:

1. November 6, 2011 at 3:20 a.m. Kangaroo convenience store at 2777 Chattanooga Valley Road, Flintstone, Ga. Creel produced a knife and fled the store with about $150.

2. November 12, 2011 at 1:38 a.m. Kangaroo convenience store at 1897 McFarland Avenue Rossville, Ga. Creel produced a knife and fled the store with about $150.

3. November 18, 2011 at Plaza Uniforms, 727 Battlefield Parkway Fort Oglethorpe, GA (Catoosa County) Creel used intimidation of a weapon and fled the store with about $300.

Creel has been charged with three counts each of armed robbery and robbery by intimidation. If convicted of the charges, Creel could face up to a maximum of 90 years in the state penitentiary. Creel is currently lodged in the Walker County Jail and is being held without bond.
