An early morning bomb threat at LaFayette High School has been determine to be a hoax, according to LaFayette police chief Tommy Freeman.

A note was found this morning on a wall in the girl’s bathroom in the 300 hall of the school.

The school was placed on lockdown while a search was conducted.

The school resource officer is working with school administration conducting interviews to determine who wrote the note.

Any person found guilty of writing the bomb threat will face a felony charge of terroristic threats, according to Freeman.
