CHURCH · Happy Home Baptist Church in LaFayette will hold a spring revival from May 30 through June 1, at 7 p.m. each night.

COMMUNITY · Homeschooled children are invited to come to the LaFayette-Walker County Public Library on Wednesday, May 30, at 1 p.m. to read books, learn and converse with other students their age. This will be the final program for the 2011-2012 school year. Look for the program to start again in September 2012.

COMMUNITY · The LaFayette High School graduation ceremony will be Friday, June 1, at 8 p.m. at the school’s Jack King Football Stadium.

COMMUNITY · Each June, Georgia yard sale shoppers spend the weekend hunting for bargains at the Dixie Highway 90-Mile Sale along U.S. 41. The sale spans 90 miles from Marietta to Ringgold, with 13 participating communities in all. This year’s sale will be held June 1-3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. COMMUNITY · Walker County Senior Center will have a yard sale from 1-5 p.m. Friday, June 1, and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Center. The Center is located at 636 South Main Street, on the LaFayette Municipal Park campus. COMMUNITY · Need volunteers to help with “Join Us For 1 - Day of Giving” on June 1; a day for people to donate their spare change in donations boxes at area McDonald's and Regions Banks.
