The victim told police he left the home for the day that morning only to arrive home later that night to find that someone had entered the home and stole multiple items.
There were no signs of forced entry into the home, but the victim did tell police that he may have very well left the door unlocked when he left the home at approximately 9:30 a.m.
A sub-woofer, a 1,000-watt amplifier, and a DVD player were the items reported stolen during the incident.
The victim could not provide any suspect information or serial numbers during the filing of the report, but did state that he believes that whoever committed the crime did so in order to “get back at him.”
The case was turned over to detective Alan Miles.
· Between 9:15 a.m. and 1:33 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Oak Tree Road in Ringgold, resulting the theft of nearly $2,500 worth of jewelry from the home.
The victim told police that someone broke a glass entry door to the home in order to gain access.
A small rock was found on the floor inside the house and is believed to have been used to break the glass.
The victim stated that the only thing missing from the home was assorted jewelry.
Inspection of the home revealed that all the drawers in both the master and a second bedroom had been rummaged through.
The victim said a pillowcase was missing from one of the bedrooms as well and that it may have been used to carry out the stolen jewelry from the home.
The case has been turned over to detective James Stockard.
