A Powder Springs, Ga., man was arrested after he allegedly traveled Ringgold with plans to have a sexual en-counter with underage children.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office:

Freddie Louis Cooper, 57, of Glendora Court in Powder Springs, Ga., was arrested Tuesday, June 26, on charges of criminal attempt of aggravated child molestation, criminal attempt of child molestation, and computer pornogra-phy and sexual exploitation of a child.

Prior to Cooper’s arrest, he allegedly communicated electronically via the internet his desire to have sexual in-tercourse and oral sex with what he believed to be two minor children ages 11 and 14, reports show.

“The suspect traveled to Ringgold to meet the fictitious children,” the undercover officer wrote in the report. “After traveling to Ringgold, the suspect was arrested in a gas station parking lot.”
