In the losers' bracket of the 7-year-old division, the Boynton Jackets calmed the Hobgood Storm late Tuesday afternoon while Smyrna defeated the Hobgood Hurricanes. Smyrna then went on to beat the Jackets in a game later in the evening.
The rest of the night consisted of forfeits. East Ridge picked up a forfeit win over the Boynton Bandits, sending East Ridge to the championship game, while Smyrna also picked up a forfeit win over the Bandits to punch their ticket to the finals.
The championship game will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday with Smyrna needing to win twice to claim the trophy.
In the 12-year-old division, the Hobgood Heat won their losers' bracket final game over East Ridge, but couldn't get past the host team as LFORA captured the World Series title.
Play at the Ringgold Youth Athletic Association fields is scheduled to resume tonight with games slated to take place at the same time they would have began on Tuesday.
In the 8-year-old division, Chattanooga Valley will take on Hobgood and Middle Valley will face the Ringgold Tigers at 6 p.m. with the winners battling at 7:30 for a spot in the losers' bracket final Thursday at 6 p.m.
The 7:30 winners' bracket final will pit the top two seeds in No. 1 Ooltewah and No. 2 East Brainerd. The championship is now slated for Thursday at 7:30.
In the 10-year-old division, losers' bracket games between Rivermont and LFORA and Canton and Middle Valley will start at 6 p.m. with the winners to play at 7:40.
Top-seeded Rossville will face No. 6 Bradley County at 7:40 for a spot in Thursday's title game, which is scheduled to begin at 7:10, just after the 5:30 losers' bracket final.
