All the classes will be conducted at the Northwest Georgia Experiment Station Auditorium at 1 McDaniel Station Rd. SW, Calhoun, GA.
This program is a great opportunity to hear Extension specialists cover virtually every area of cattle production. Only two Master Cattleman courses are offered statewide each year, and the last time it was held locally was in 2007.
The program will be limited to the first 75 producers who sign up. There is a $90 charge for this course that will include a copy of the Master Cattleman notebook, refreshments at all meetings and a steak dinner at the final session, and everyone attending five of the seven sessions will receive a certificate of completion and a Master Cattleman cap. Participants will also receive BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) certification.
Cattle producers interested in attending the classes need to complete the registration form and pay the fee. You can get a copy of the registration form and more information about the program by going to www.caes.uga.edu/departments/ads/extension/beefteam/mastercmprg.html or by calling the Walker County Extension Office at 706-638-2548. The registration deadline is Aug. 10.
