SOFTBALL: Rossville Middle School drops season opener

The Rossville Middle School softball team opened their new season on Thursday at home against Dade County, but came out on the short end of an 8-6 decision.

Brook Wagner paced the Lady Bulldogs (0-1 overall, 0-1 in NGAC play), going 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs. Callie Scroggins and Domonique Stubbs each had two singles while Stubbs drove in a run. Makenzie Howard and Madison Simmons were each 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. Autumn Perry was 1-for-2 and Alexis Brannon added an RBI.

Rossville will play Thursday at LaFayette in another NGAC game.
