A Beef Cattle Reproductive Management Workshop is scheduled to be held in Calhoun on May 26. It will be conducted at the Experiment Station Livestock Pavilion off of Ga. 53 spur and begin at 6 p.m.

Several UGA Extension beef specialists will speak at the workshop. Some of the topics they will discuss include nutritional requirements at calving/breeding time, vaccination programs for cow herds, and forage management for cattle.

There is a $10 registration fee for the workshop, which will include a meal. The registration deadline is May 22. Those individuals interested in attending should stop by the Extension Office or call us at (706) 638-2548 to get a registration form.

Norman Edwards is coordinator of Walker County Extension Service.
