Spring Break was a truly magical week for Boynton Elementary chorus. Twenty-three of the school’s chorus traveled to Orlando, Fla. where they performed for a crowd at Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney.

The following day, students worked with Disney musicians, directors and media technicians to improve their musical technique.

The Disney staff provided impressive compliments for the group sharing that they were the only elementary school group invited to sing for them this year, as they typically only allow middle and high school choruses to perform. One of Disney’s directors also told the group that they were the best group he had ever worked with because they listened, were respectful, talented and very together while singing and dancing.

“I am so proud of this group. Not many elementary school choruses have the honor of saying they have sung at Radio City Music Hall and Disney World. This year, we also auditioned for the hit TV show "America’s Got Talent" and made it to the second round of auditions in Atlanta. They are very talented and I feel blessed to work with such an outstanding group of students and parents,” said Sheri Thrower, Boynton music teacher and choral director.

The trip wasn’t all business; however, everyone enjoyed three days at the Disney parks.
