Greetings to all. As you know, the war continues, and our soldiers still enjoy hearing from home. We have had a few calls regarding what we do for the soldiers and some that want to help with this program. It is our desire to see many that want to do something for the men and women that are on foreign soil, fighting for our freedom. All of the feedback that we get from the soldiers that we send packages to is wonderful. The men and women are thrilled when they receive these boxes. With the economic downturn we know that giving is hard to do, but remember that these soldiers are giving their all for each one of us.

The month of August is beginning very slowly, and our largest contributor for postage has stopped during this month. They have been a tremendous help to this cause. Hopefully, our donor will begin to help again in September. It would be wonderful if some of our readers could also donate postage for these boxes. The cost of one box completely filled is $11.95.

We are still waiting to hear from a company or an individual that would like to donate a vacation package to a returning soldier and his spouse. Please keep that in mind also.

A family has contacted us about their son who is about to be deployed. Naturally, they are very anxious, and we know that feeling having had one from our family serve in a combat zone also.

The one thing that we can tell them is to keep in contact by email if at all possible, and by all means, keep mail going to them. These men and women need to hear from home as much as we need to hear from them. Many of the soldiers have computers and will contact their families by email as often as they can.

Please continue to pray for our country.
