For tonight's attractions at the Catoosa County Fair, Gateway Bank will present a Colonnade Community Players performance of “Smoke on the Mountain” at 7:30 p.m. at the Colonnade Theater.

Performing are Kevin Moore, Steve Cole, Kelly Harden, Bethany Higgins, Jason Carter, Ryne Stokes, Jessie Holcombe, Gayle Carter and Laura McDonald.

American Old West Cowboys will be shooting it out and causing a ruckus from 4:30 p.m.-closing.

Catoosa seniors will host Friday and Saturday at the Senior Center a cake walk with homemade cakes and sell pinto beans and cornbread, preserves, jellies and candles. Quilts will be available for bid to raise funds for the group.

Arts and craft booths will be set up on the fairgrounds with assorted wares for purchase.

The Taste of Catoosa, originally scheduled for today, has been cancelled due to lack of participation.

An Antique Car Show Oct. 11 will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizer Frank Hales said if the weather is good he expects patrons to have dozens of cars for viewing.

Northwest Georgia Bank will present James Rogers in concert at the Colonnade Theater Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m.

Saturday evening will culminate with a fireworks extravaganza presented by Hutcheson Medical Center.



Attendees can purchase tickets for $15 armbands from Jon Luerhs’ Spectacular Attractions to enjoy rides and games.

Parking for the event will be at Jack Mattox Recreational Complex. The Catoosa County school system is providing a shuttle service to and from Benton Place campus. Some on-site parking will be available for $2 per vehicle.

Handicapped parking will be available for no charge with a handicapped placard or tag at the Catoosa County Library Oct. 10 and 11 and at the Colonnade on Oct. 8-9.

The Catoosa County Library, Senior Center, Health Department and Learning Center will maintain special hours throughout the week, including closing to the public on Friday and Saturday
