The National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, will be collecting non-perishable food items like canned soup, vegetables, juice, pasta, cereal and rice on Saturday, May 14th, to help families in the local community who are in need.

City and rural mail carriers will pick up the food donations. Place your food donation in a bag, and leave it at your mailbox on May 14th, before your letter carrier arrives.

Donations will be distributed from the post office to Christ Chapel Share and Care Mission in Ringgold. Please do not include out-of-date items or glass containers.

Last year Ringgold Post Office collected over four tons of food for the local mission. A special thank you to our carriers who collect 80 percent of the food.

For further information call Larry Pardue, Ringgold postmaster, at 935-9811
