The Catoosa Family Collaborative awarded its Time Out for Families contest winners chosen from entries made by students in schools across Catoosa County. Students in Pre-K through third grade submitted original drawings illus-trating how their families are special while students in fourth through 12th grade submitted an original essay of 500 words or less on the same topic.

The winners are Westside Elementary Pre-K student James Quincy Bruce from Mrs. Taylor’s class; Cloud Springs Elementary student Xadrienne Ellis of Mrs. Sample’s class; Tiger Creek Elemen-tary student Angelina Fraga form Mrs. K’s class; Heritage Middle School student Jaime Lee Holmes of Mrs. Car-lock’s class and Heritage High School student Zeke Cobb.

Students received backpacks stuffed with age appropri-ate goodies including Jumping monkeys Creative Discovery Museum Tickets, Ladybug game, Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum tickets, Sorry games, Soccer balls, a Family YMCA membership, bowling passes mini digital camera, iTunes card, iPodshuffleand a casino game.
