The LaFayette girls tennis team (0-4) defeated Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 4-1 on Tuesday, March 25, while the Warrior boys defeated the Ramblers 3-2.

Sophomore Lindsey Large improved to 4-2 with a 6-1, 6-0 win in singles action. Freshman Ashley Henry moved to 5-1 after her 6-2, 6-4 wins. Marandan Tench fell 6-4, 6-1 in her singles match. Ryan Lee won an exhibition match 8-4.

The doubles team of Lindsey Shrader and Amanda James easily won 6-2, 6-0 to move their mark to 5-1 on the season.

Freshman duo Megan Potts and Jessica Carlock also moved to 5-1 with a 6-1, 6-0 win.

In boys action, a senior-laden Warrior team won all three singles matches to edge the Ramblers 3-2.

Cole Bowman lost in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Matt Prince fell 6-3, 6-4 and Ryan Friend took his match to a third set before falling 6-0, 2-6, 6-4.

In doubles, Justin Mosley and Terry Shropshire teamed for a 7-5, 6-2 win, while Tony Black and Victor Queen won 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.

The LFO boys tennis team improved its record to 3-1 on Monday, March 24, following an 8-1 win over Notre Dame.

The Warriors received wins from Zach Scott, Justin Hager, Zach Durham, Bo Guest, Ryan Cook and James McDowell in singles play.

The teams of Scott-Durham and McDowell-Cook recorded 8-1 victories in doubles
