Crimestoppers: $8,770 worth of items stolen from residenc | Law & orde

A Chickamauga man said that while he and his family were out of town, someone broke into his residence on Ridgewood Drive and stole $8,770 worth of items.

According to Walker County Sheriff’s Department reports:

Sometime between Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. and Nov. 30 around 7 p.m., someone broke into the man’s residence by bursting through the kitchen window.

Items taken included an Apple computer, Ipod, flat screen TV, various clothes and hats, various CDs and DVDs, used desktop computer, .22-caliber pistol, microwave oven, John Wayne collectable bucket, various jewelry, various sizes and makes of knives, fire safe with insurance papers and $4,000 in cash, tennis shoes, various bows, and .22-caliber rifle.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department can offer a reward for information if it leads to an arrest. The reward amount is based on the nature of the crime(s) involved.
