A Rock Spring man said that, while he was out of town, someone stole tools from his truck at his residence on Peavine Road.

According to Walker County Sheriff’s Department reports:

Sometime during the weekend of Nov. 17-19, someone stole the man’s Dewalt 12-inch miter saw, Makita skill saw, coil roof nailer, and 18-volt Ryobi drill.

The man said that he noticed the items missing when he returned home from the weekend and that he did not understand why they did not take the many other tools in the bed of his truck, including an air compressor.

The items were valued at $601.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department can offer a reward for information if it leads to an arrest. The reward amount is based on the nature of the crime(s) involved. If anyone has any information on a Crimestoppers crime, contact the Sheriff’s Department during business hours at (706) 638-1909; on weekends and after hours call the non-emergency 911 number at (706) 375-7810.
