A LaFayette woman said someone stole nearly $12,000 worth of items from her residence on Ringgold Road.

According to Walker County Sheriff’[s Department reports:

On Nov. 25, the woman left her residence at 10:50 a.m., and when she returned at 11:40 a.m. she noticed a number of items missing.

The stolen items included various gold and silver chains, necklaces, pendants, rings, bracelets, beads, two men’s watch’s, black-and-white guitar, Apple Mac Laptop, digital camera, and safe box that held three passports and a birth certificate. The items were valued at $11,951.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department can offer a reward for information if it leads to an arrest. The reward amount is based on the nature of the crime(s) involved.
