Help appreciated

Dear editor:

Our dog was hit on Ga. 136 west on Saturday morning, Feb. 14, around 1:30. A very nice young couple informed county officials, who in turn located us.

We did not get the people's names because we just did not think of it at the time. I wanted to write a letter to the editor so hopefully this couple and the others involved will see it and know we appreciate them, and we are sorry we did not tell them at the time.

We appreciate them caring enough to inform law officials. We appreciate the officer, who got the dispatcher involved. We appreciate our nice neighbors, who were more than likely woken up by phone or by seeing the commotion going on outside.

Thank you very much.

Larry Martin, Chickamaug
