Freedom Festival slated for July | Loca

Walker County Freedom Festival will be Friday, July 2, from 6-11 p.m. at LaFayette Municipal Park, next to the city golf course on South Main Street.

Admission is free to the event, which includes food, music, games and fireworks. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.

Ringgold Gap Band will take the stage at 6 p.m. to play bluegrass, followed by Ashley Burse at 6:50. Life Gate Church Praise will perform at 7. The official welcome and national anthem will be sung at 7:45 p.m., and the Chattanooga All-Star Band will perform at 8.

Other activities include an old-timers baseball game at 7 p.m. and free swimming from 6-8 p.m. Fireworks will begin after dark, about 9:45 p.m.

The festival is sponsored by the city of LaFayette, LaFayette Woman's Club and Walker County Chamber of Commerce
