Admission is free to the event, which includes food, music, games and fireworks. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
Ringgold Gap Band will take the stage at 6 p.m. to play bluegrass, followed by Ashley Burse at 6:50. Life Gate Church Praise will perform at 7. The official welcome and national anthem will be sung at 7:45 p.m., and the Chattanooga All-Star Band will perform at 8.
Other activities include an old-timers baseball game at 7 p.m. and free swimming from 6-8 p.m. Fireworks will begin after dark, about 9:45 p.m.
The festival is sponsored by the city of LaFayette, LaFayette Woman's Club and Walker County Chamber of Commerce
