Walker County Emergency Services will hold a Southeast Asia tsunami relief drive this weekend throughout the county.
Firefighters will set up “collection roadblocks” resembling those the department used last fall in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Fill the Boot campaign.
Volunteers will set up about 9 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Fire Chief Randy Camp said funds could be split between the American Red Cross International Response Fund and UNICEF, or the United Nations Children’s Fund to help children who lost their homes in the disaster.
Camp said he wants as much money as possible to go directly to disaster victims.
