The LaFayette Ramblers' basketball teams invaded the Tigers' den at Ringgold Tuesday night looking to upset their region opponents. But the Tigers' proved to be too much for the Ramblers as they swept both games. The Lady Ramblers fell, 67-34, while the Ramblers dropped a 67-47 decision. The Lady Ramblers got 10 points from their leading scorer, Jocelyn Thompson, and eight points each from Carmen Jackson and Amber Parham. LaFayette had two threes on the night. The loss kept the Lady Ramblers winless on the season. Ringgold jumped out early and took a 16-9 lead after one quarter, and extended the lead to 30-15 at half-time. They exploded for 25 third quarter points and went on to the 67-34 win. The Ramblers stood toe-to-toe with the Tigers for a half, but Ringgold pulled away in the second half to register the 67-47 win. LaFayette got a balanced scoring night from its players. Nate Smith led the way with 12 points, while Colby Curry had 10. Ricky Jackson finished with eight points, and Scott Gibson had seven. The Ramblers made three treys for the game. The loss kept them winless on the year. Both LaFayette squads return home this weekend. On Friday, they play host to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe starting at 7:00 p.m., and then entertain Dalton on Saturday, also starting at 7:00 p.m. The Ramblers go back on the road Tuesday when they squared off against county rival Ridgeland. Those games begin at 6:00 p.m
