Mt. Pisgah Road in Ringgold has reopened to traffic.

County manager Mike Helton said the road still needs some work, but it is passable. The work, including final paving and shoulder and guardrail work, will be completed in the next two weeks.

Helton said the road might be taken down to one lane to complete the construction, but it will remain open to traffic.

He cautioned drivers to remember that the road is still considered a construction zone and to drive more slowly than the 55-mph speed limit.

Mike just what was the hold up in getting this road repaired? Please tell the people of Catoosa County the straight scoop. We know about weather conditions and they were basically the same as they were on the side of Signal Mountain.

Why 4 months, could a few loads of rock have been hauled in back in October backed the dump trucks across the filled in area and say we got it done until we can get to paving it?

Don't hand us the line about about bureaucracy that can't be the reason. Seems to the voting public it was just a case of the commissioners did not have Catoosa County citizens best interest at heart.
