Ringgold Middle School to present Thoroughly Modern Millie at The Colonnade

The Ringgold Middle School chorus, under the direction of Jane Ellis will present “Thoroughly Modern Mille” onstage in The Colonnade Theater March 19 and 20.

“Thoroughly Modern Mille” is set in the flapper era of the1920’s. Main character, Millie Dillmount, is determined to findwork as a stenographer for a wealthy man and end up mar-ried to him. Intending to marry for money and not love, she sees herself as “thoroughly modern.”

Millie ends up meeting a salesman named Jimmy Smith and falls in love but is determined not to be swayed from her attempt to marry her wealthy employer, Trevor Graydon. Come join the fun as Jane Ellis and the Ringgold Middle School chorus lead us through this delightful musical adventure that features such Broadway tunes as “BabyFace” and “Jazz Baby.”

Performances are open to the public on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets for this event are $7 per person and are available at the door on thenight of the performance.
