Author to speak at Ghost Walk in LaFayette

Marnie L. Pehrson, author of “An Uncertain Justice,” a historical fiction about the last legal hanging in Georgia, will be a speaker at the Ghost and History Walk in LaFayette Saturday, May 8. She will be talking about the last legal hanging in Georgia, in 1923. The book is based on the murder of her second great-grandfather, a sheriff who was shot and killed by two brothers.

Books will be for sale at the Joe Stock park gazebo for $10.

The Ghost and History Walk begins at 7:30 pm at the gazebo in Joe Stock Park. Tours will leave every 20 minutes with the last tour leaving at 10:30 pm.

Admission: Adults $10; children 6-12 years $5. Walk is sponsored by the Marsh House Task Force. For information call Mary Smitherman at 423-718-9918.
