The parents of the bride, David and Lydia Babb of Ringgold, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Liesl Babb to Adam Mitchell Hare. The wedding is set to be Friday, June 4, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Ringgold.

Amanda is the granddaughter of Bonnie Babb of Ringgold and the late Herchel M. Babb, and the late Phillip D. and Joann K. Burns of Ringgold, formerly of Montgomery, Ala. She is a Ringgold High School graduate and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She is a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and the Golden Key Honor Society. She is employed with Catoosa County Schools as a math interventionist.

Adam is the son of Marty and Micki Hare of Chattanooga. He is the grandson of Marvin Hare Sr. and the late Annette S. Hare of Chattanooga, and the late David Abney and Shirley Compton Abney of Garland, Texas. He graduated from Ooltewah High School and served seven years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve including two tours of duty in Iraq with Mike Battery of Chattanooga. He is employed as a contract employee to Ringgold Telephone Company and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
